Promote gender equality in communities and teach valuable skills to local women and youth.
Fight for women rights as a volunteer, in many developing countries women are marginalized and are raised without the ability to speak up. They are discriminated in various issues as many women especially in villages never receiving basic education. Without knowledge and skill development most of women and their family end up in a cycle of poverty.
Help the Tanzania girls and women to reach their full potential on our empowerment and gender equality project. You will provide training and encourage the groups of girls and women in order to improve their life.
In most of developing countries girls and women are marginalised and don’t live a life in which they can speak up to be where they can be. Most their feeling discriminated and undervalued. Empowering women and promoting gender equality in Tanzania will help them for future growth and progress in Tanzania. Volunteer with us to raise awareness and promote gender equality in a local community.
During your volunteering period you can be able to know culture and tradition of the local as you will work with local community in Kilimanjaro. Over the weekends you can be able to travel out of the city for safari and tour or you can plan hiking for Mount Kilimanjaro.
Is the women empowerment project good for me?
If you want to promote human right and stand for other women in the world especially in developing countries this is your right project. You will be able to work with women in Kilimanjaro and change their life totally. Most of men in some villages in Kilimanjaro they drink local alcohol all over the year and leave all their family responsibilities to their wives.
During your stay you will build strong and good connection with group of women from disadvantaged communities around Moshi-Kilimanjaro and provide them advice and training session.
Who can volunteer in a women empowerment project?
Any person aged 16 and above can work in this project, no prior experience required to work in this project. Our staff will provide training and help all time if needed, if you have an experience will be a benefit for us.
Your skills and knowledge are appreciated if they benefit this women, you will get to help vulnerable women and develop your teaching and leadership skills at the same time and get a practical experience too. You will be able to work along human rights and microfinance skills and get good experience in these fields.
This project works all over the year, you can join any time for a minimum stay of two weeks. Staying longer is recommended as will give you more time to know various groups of women around Kilimanjaro and put the training into practice.

You will work in various activities concerning about women empowerment and gender equality promotion.

Run skill development classes for the local girls and women.
Here you will focus in provide training to the local girls and women about entrepreneurship to develop their skills and education. By develop their skills and education you will empower them and provide them with the means to improve t heir future life and families.
Raise awareness about importance of gender equality and human right.
By talking with the communities, you will be able to reduce number of women right issues in Tanzania. The good way to eliminate is by inviting conversation and discussion to ensure thorough understanding of the topics and why they are important. As more people get educated about human right, they will understand women was treated unfairly and think about change.
